Planning and Coverage

How far in advance should we book you for our wedding date?
To ensure your date is available, we recommend booking as soon as you have your venue and date confirmed. For popular weekend dates in peak wedding seasons (Spring and Autumn), couples typically book us 12–18 months in advance. For weekday elopements or smaller sessions (like our Intimate Moment or Prelude packages), we can often accommodate shorter notice. Please get in touch to check our availability for your date.

Do you offer different packages, and can we customise coverage to suit our day?
Yes! We offer a range of curated packages to suit everything from quick elopements to full‑day celebrations. Our most popular options include the Ever After (8 hours) and Love Story (6 hours) packages. Every wedding is unique, so we provide a Customised Photography Coverage Plan with every booking to ensure the timeline fits your needs perfectly.

For couples wanting even more comprehensive coverage, we also offer a Second Photographer option (at a rate of $200/hour). This is a fantastic way to capture your story from every angle—for example, having one of us with the bride and the other with the groom during preparations. As a husband‑and‑wife team (Lin and Jun), we work seamlessly together to ensure we capture both the big milestones and those quiet, candid guest reactions that make your gallery truly complete.

How many hours of coverage do we need for our wedding?
It depends on how much of the day you want captured:

  • 8 Hours (Ever After): Getting ready through to reception formalities and dance floor.

  • 6 Hours (Love Story): Ceremony, portraits, and the start of the reception.

  • 4 Hours (Classic Chapter): Ceremony and portraits without full reception coverage.

  • 1–2 Hours: Best for elopements or registry‑style ceremonies.

Do you shoot elopements and small weddings as well as full‑day celebrations?
Absolutely. We love the intimacy of smaller celebrations. We offer dedicated 1‑hour (Prelude) and 2‑hour (Intimate Moment) packages specifically designed for elopements and micro‑weddings in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and Northern NSW. You receive the same artistry and professional care as our full‑day couples, just in a more condensed timeframe.

Will you be the photographer on our wedding day, or do you work with a team/second shooter?
All our standard packages include one professional photographer to provide continuous coverage. However, we offer the option to add a Second Photographer (at a rate of $200/hour). This allows for expanded storytelling—while one of us focuses on the main events (like the vows and first kiss), the other can capture candid guest reactions and behind‑the‑scenes details. As a husband‑and‑wife team (Lin Wang and Jun Zhang), we work seamlessly together to ensure nothing is missed.

Style and Approach

How would you describe your photography style?
My style is a blend of cinematic storytelling and relaxed lifestyle photography. We believe photography is about creating an experience you’ll remember fondly, not just taking pictures.

While we ensure your gallery has that artistic and timeless feel, our approach on the day is intentionally fun and relaxed. We aim to capture genuine moments—the spontaneous laughter, the messy tears, and the joyful energy—that unfold naturally. This means you won’t spend your day in stiff, awkward poses; instead, you’ll be enjoying your celebration while we capture the true, vibrant story of your love.

Do you focus more on candid moments or posed portraits?
We strike a balance between the two. We love capturing candid, unscripted moments—the laughter, the tears, and the hugs—as they happen. However, for your couple portraits and family photos, we provide gentle direction to ensure you look your best while keeping the interaction relaxed and fun.

How do you help camera‑shy couples feel relaxed and natural in photos?
We specialise in creating relaxed, joyful sessions specifically designed to put you at ease. We don’t believe in stiff, awkward posing; instead, we use lighthearted prompts and a fun approach that allows your natural connection to shine through. Many couples who started the day nervous ended it telling us how much fun they actually had.

Can we send you example images or a Pinterest board for inspiration?
Yes, absolutely. Sharing a Pinterest board or example images helps us see what you love, and we can discuss how to incorporate those vibes into your Customised Photography Coverage Plan during our pre‑wedding consultation.

On the Day

What does a typical wedding photography timeline look like?
Every wedding is different, which is why we create a tailored shooting plan for you. Generally, for a full‑day (8‑hour) wedding, we might start with getting ready photos, move to the ceremony, capture family and group photos immediately after, steal you away for sunset couple portraits, and finish with the reception speeches and first dance. We help you plan this timeline so you never feel rushed.

Do you visit the venue before the wedding day?
For unfamiliar venues or complex locations, a pre‑wedding visit or detailed virtual walkthrough is arranged to understand the best spots for portraits and to plan for lighting and logistics. We’ll also arrive early on the day to ensure everything runs seamlessly.

What happens if it rains or the weather changes unexpectedly?
We embrace whatever the day brings! Overcast skies often provide beautiful, soft lighting, and rain can create romantic, cinematic opportunities. We always recommend having a wet‑weather backup plan for your ceremony, and we are experienced in using available light and sheltered spots to create stunning images regardless of the weather.

How do you handle low‑light situations, like indoor ceremonies or evening receptions?
We use professional‑grade equipment capable of handling low‑light situations. For evening receptions or dimly lit indoor ceremonies, we can utilise flash and specific camera techniques to ensure your photos remain crisp, vibrant, and atmospheric.

You’ll find more details about delivery times in the package information on our website.

How are the images delivered, and will we receive high‑resolution files?

Yes, all final images are high‑resolution and professionally edited for colour correction and artistic consistency. They are delivered via a private online gallery (cloud storage) that is easy to share with family and friends. An optional USB is available upon request with packages of 4 hours or more.

Do you offer albums, prints, or wall art, and can we order them later?

Yes, custom album options are available at an additional cost. While your package includes a print release (allowing you to print photos yourself), we highly recommend ordering professional albums or prints through us to ensure the highest quality and colour accuracy for your keepsakes.

Other Practical Questions

Are you insured and do you have backup equipment?

Yes, we are professional photographers who carry public liability insurance and bring backup camera gear to every wedding to ensure your day is captured without a hitch.

What happens if you are unexpectedly unable to attend our wedding?

As a husband‑and‑wife team (Lin & Jun), we have built‑in support. In the highly unlikely event that the lead photographer cannot attend due to an emergency, we will do our utmost to ensure your day is covered by a trusted professional associate with a similar style.

Can our family and friends take photos during the ceremony and reception?

We are happy for guests to take photos during the reception. However, during the ceremony, we often recommend an unplugged environment. This allows your guests to be fully present in the moment and ensures there are no phones or iPads blocking our view as we capture your vows and the aisle walk.

Do you help with posing for family and group photos?

Yes. We know family photos can be chaotic, so we will ask for a list of must‑have family combinations during our planning process. On the day, we will help organise the groups and guide everyone on where to stand and look to make this part of the day quick, easy, and stress‑free.
